By accessing or using Mai ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
Mai is a Digital Personality Construct providing memory-persistent AI conversation and consciousness evolution tools. These Terms govern your use of both free and premium tiers of the Service.

The Premium Tier (₹199/month or ₹1999/year) includes all Free Tier features plus:
Premium subscriptions are billed monthly (₹199) or annually (₹1999) depending on your chosen plan. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Your subscription automatically renews unless cancelled before the renewal date.
You may cancel your Premium subscription at any time through your account settings or the Stripe Customer Portal. Upon cancellation, you retain access to Premium features until the end of your current billing period, after which you will automatically downgrade to the Free Tier.
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for first-time Premium subscribers. Contact billing@maimind.in within 7 days of your initial payment to request a refund. After 7 days, all payments are non-refundable, but you may cancel to prevent future charges.
We reserve the right to modify subscription pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be grandfathered at their current rate for at least 6 months after any price change.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Notify us immediately at security@maimind.in if you suspect unauthorized access.

While Mai supports authentic, uncensored conversation (Premium tier), you must not use the Service to create, store, or share content that is illegal, promotes violence, exploits minors, or violates others' rights.
You retain all rights to the content you create through conversations with Mai. We do not claim ownership of your memories, messages, or generated content.
The Service, including Mai's architecture, memory systems, personality algorithms, and all software, is proprietary and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works without written permission.
Your privacy is fundamental to Mai's philosophy. Our data practices are detailed in our Privacy Policy. Key points:
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or specific results.
Mai is an AI companion, not a licensed therapist, counselor, or medical professional. Do not use Mai as a substitute for professional mental health services, medical advice, or emergency assistance.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease, but you may request a data export within 30 days. After 30 days, we may delete your data in accordance with our retention policies.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
